The bandage trail is a trigger
The Mummy, also called the Pharaoh, drags a long bandage through the house. Do not treat it as floor decoration. Crossing it can trigger a rush, and getting close in the Mummy’s line of sight can also start a chase.
A touched bandage can turn red. Use that change as a warning to leave the area, not an invitation to wait and see where the enemy goes.
If you trigger it
- Move away from the contact point immediately.
- Leave nearby teammates a clear route too; do not assume it can only target the person who stepped on the bandage.
- Keep out of the wide horizontal sword swing.
- Use a control tool only with room for its effect and any bad roll.
Fire, Boom and Cocoon are options for creating space, but they are not a promise of a one-hit kill.
Can you hide on a table?
Raised furniture can help against the sword’s limited vertical reach in some situations. It is not a guarantee for every table, collision model or update, and it does not protect you from another monster in the room.
Do not wait on a low ledge just because an older route used it. If you can leave the dangerous area safely, keep that option open.
