Copies and the hostile Snowman
A Snowman event creates multiple copies, with one hostile Snowman among them. The hostile one can chase players it sees. An ordinary-looking snowman is not enough to tell you which kind it is.
Clear a path from a distance
Harmless copies can break when an object passes through them. Try a throwable object such as a plain die from a position where you can still retreat.
Walking through a harmless copy can also break it, but approaching an unidentified snowman is the riskier test. The same action does not mean you can run through the hostile original safely.
Using Echo
Echo is suggested as a way to mark the original rather than its copies. Use it as an extra clue, not a guarantee: a snowman that is not marked is not automatically safe to approach.
Keep your distance and watch behavior. A snowman that begins chasing needs to be treated as a threat, not a copy you can simply brush aside.
If it chases you
Keep an escape route and consider Fire, Boom or Cocoon when you have room to use them. Do not assume one hit will kill it, or that a tool effective against another monster must work the same way here.
Avoid spending the last escape die on a test when there is another route back to the game room.
