Watch the ground warning
The Sandworm moves underground and attacks from below. Running and loud activity can draw it toward you; ground rumbling warns of an approaching lunge.
Do not keep standing on the point that drew the attack. Leave room to move rather than exploring with an empty stamina reserve.
A cautious survival approach
- Reduce unnecessary running and noise while it is active.
- Treat nearby doors and other noisy interactions as possible triggers.
- When the warning begins, prepare to move away from the attack point.
- Keep stamina for that escape instead of spending it all on routine travel.
There is no fixed dodge timer or invincibility window to follow here. Avoid turning a rough timing tip into a last-second jump you assume must work.
Crouching is not a safety switch
Crouch movement is suggested as a way to reduce noise, but behavior reports differ. Do not assume that crouching makes you undetectable, or that standing still will always cancel an attack already underway.
Closets and decoys
Players can still take Sandworm damage inside a closet. A closed door is not a substitute for getting out of the attack area.
Throwing a plain die away from your planned route is a possible distraction, but do not risk the run on the worm choosing that landing point. Keep your own escape option ready.
