Start a solo game
Host your own room and start the central board while you are the only player. The Early Access game supports one to six players; you do not need a second player to begin.
Once the board starts, do not count on another player joining halfway through to rescue the run.
Plan around doing every job
You will scout, carry idols, watch threats and navigate back to the board yourself. Recheck the route after rooms change, and leave optional valuables behind when bringing them back would cost your last escape tool.
- Thread helps you find the game room.
- Teleport is an option for moving yourself out of danger.
- Control dice can buy room to escape, but their bad faces can also cause trouble.
- Rally is mainly a regrouping tool for other players; it is not a required solo purchase.
Keep a backup checkpoint
The Old Clock can rescue a failed run and return you to the shop. Solo revivals with the Clock have occurred, but do not assume every resource or shop balance will always restore perfectly after a failure.
Check its current price and protection before relying on it. You still need to finish each board to create normal saves.
Do not build a run around untested self-revives
Carrying a Resurrect Die or using a mirror may offer another chance under some conditions. Neither is a reason to take a deliberate lethal risk in a solo run.
Follow the same idol, soul and sealing objectives as a group. The main walkthrough covers the route to the Master Board.
